Third XI Player of the Year
Our winner, Alex Adams, spent the season playing for the Third XI as well as
standing as an umpire on a regular basis, usually playing on a Saturday and
umpiring on a Sunday. He was the leading run scorer for the Third XI with 258
runs at 36.86 with a highest score of 70 not out. He finished the season where
he had left off for the Third XI by scoring a half-century for the NCU Umpires
against Leinster Umpires in the annual White Stick Trophy.

Fourth XI Player of the Year
Up until this season, our winner, Philip Ritchie, would have been described as a
young batsman but we now have to describe him as an all-rounder as he bowled for
the first time on a regular basis with some success. He scored a total of 280
runs at 21.54 for the Fourth and Fifth XI's and took 14 wickets at 9.14.

Under-15 Bowler of the Year
This year's winner, Matthew Palmer, is a young left-arm spinner who won the
Under-13 bowling trophy last year. This year for the Under-15's he was
virtually unplayable, with his 13 wickets taken at a very low average of 6.54.
He captained the Belfast Under-14's at the Lord's Taverners' Inner Cities Cup
at Arundel and played for Northern Ireland Under-14's. He took a total of 32
wickets for the Club in adult cricket in 2006 and made a Second XI place his
own, taking 22 wickets at 20.32. After the injury to Abbas he was given a
chance on the First XI and responded with 5 wickets in three matches including
3 for 38 in the vital win against Bangor.

Under-13 Batsman of the Year
This year's winner, Alex Hagan, is a young all-rounder who was originally in the
team primarily for his bowling but his batting simply got better as the season
progressed. He topped the Under-13's batting with an average of 32 and scored
his maiden fifty when he scored 60 not out in the final game of the season.
