Vauxhall Tankard Award
The Vauxhall Tankard Award is presented to the individual who contributes the
season's most outstanding match-winning performance.
This year, the honour goes to a young player who managed to take 6 for 17 in
an Under 15 match against Ballymena. Six wickets on any occasion is quite a
feat but, to do so in a 20 over match where bowlers are only alloted 4 overs,
is truly exceptional. Gavin Richards performance saw a victory from the last
ball of the match and is a deserving winner of the Vauxhall Tankard.
