Special Recognition
The Club is always keen to acknowledge those who have made an outstanding
contribution as players by commemorating their 25th anniversary as a playing
member.
Reaching the milestone this year was Nigel McFarland, who commenced his
Carrickfergus C.C. playing career as a schoolboy in 1979. He soon made his way
into the First XI where he scored over 5,000 runs and he continues to score
heavily in the Second XI, approaching 2,500 runs for them, giving a career-total
of over 7,000 runs for the Club.
